2010- No formal July activities
2009
July 11th (Saturday): 11am to 12:30pm Linda and Bob will be at Back to Basic’s
talking about the “Newest News” from the Celiac Research Center in NYC. This is a great way to learn about celiac disease
and to hear about celiac research that is happening in our back yard. We look forward to seeing you.
July 12th (Sunday): noon Gluten Free Picnic for all members and their families
at 155 Reservoir Rd.,
Pascoag, RI. Bring a gluten free dish with the recipe, and
cold non alcoholic drinks to share. All
paper- ware and condiments will be available.
This is a relaxed picnic and we eat what ever is brought, so it could be
an all dessert picnic or an all salad picnic or an all meat picnic, but it will
be fun for all. In the past some
families bring their own meat so if you want to do that go right ahead. We will have the grills on. Bring your bathing
suit and towel as you can swim in one of the cleanest lakes in RI. We have a paddle boat and kayaks to use
too. If you do not like to swim- no problem you can relax under the shade trees. Of course there are games for kids and if we
have enough interest we can even have pony rides from our member Alice who owns
Pine Ledge Stables (949-5822). What must
you do: Contact Linda at 568-6110 or MonahanLinda@yahoo.com to say you are
coming (# attending) and if you are interested in the pony rides. If it rains the picnic will NOT be held. No rain date, sorry. Call the morning of the picnic if it is
raining to hear an update. Time is noon
until we all get tired or run out of food….. Bob and Linda are happy to have
you at our lake front home.
July: Any
one interested in going to see the Paw Sox as a group??? If we have enough members interested we can
go. Of course if we do go we will again
review what we can eat at the stadium.
We had a list but that was 2 years ago and vendors do change. What do you need to do? Contact Linda ASAP if you are interested and
we can pick a date etc….
